We Care About You

If you are trying to get pregnant and having no luck, there may be a treatable reason. There are many causes for women’s infertility, many of which can be treated directly at Fayetteville Woman’s Care. Luckily, with proper treatment, parenthood may be within reach for many couples.

Common Causes of Female Infertility and Treatment:

Endometriosis – Surgery to remove abnormal tissue is helpful to improve the chances of conception. In severe cases, in vitro fertilization (IVF), allows the doctor to bypass the inflamed area and increase the chances of conceiving.

Poor Ovulation – Fertility drugs can help stimulate ovulation.

Polycystic ovary syndrome – Medications that affect the body’s sensitivity to produce insulin; hormones that stimulate ovulation; in vitro fertilization; and rarely surgery on the ovaries.

Premature ovarian failure (early menopause) – If the ovaries are no longer producing eggs and your menstrual periods have stopped, egg donation is the only treatment available to become pregnant.

Uterine abnormalities – Surgery can easily remove obstacles like fibroids or scar tissue.
