Dr. Myron Strickland, a self-proclaimed “teddy bear”, grew up right down the road from Fayetteville in Chadbourn, NC. He has two sons Scott, who is a Wildlife Officer and Adam, who is medical school at East Carolina University. Dr. Strickland lives in Fayetteville with his wife, Martha.

He enjoys traveling and has visited such exotic places as Russia, Egypt, Canada, Europe, Alaska and the Caribbean.

Dr. Strickland worked with several of the doctors who established Fayetteville Woman’s Care and has seen it progress to a well-established practice with a wonderful patient base. His contributions have been many. He was the first to bring new technology, like laser surgery, LAVH and TLH, LASH to the practice and medical community. His expertise in gynecological oncology, including cervical and ovarian cancers, is renowned in the Fayetteville area. Dr. Strickland is also one of the few doctors in the area who is on the modern cusp of new infertility treatments and works with several infertility offices in nearby Raleigh.

Some of the reasons he went into the OB/GYN field were the ability to combine surgery, medicine and long-term patient care. He says he enjoys seeing patients he himself delivered now coming to him as new mothers themselves.
